The Khanya Collective (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use thekhanyacollective.co.za or contact us, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the details of your enquiry, quote request or partnership enquiry, plus any files you send us.
  • Information collected automatically (only if you accept cookies): pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at the site, collected through Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
  • To deliver the products and services you order.
  • To discuss partnership and collaboration opportunities.
  • To understand how our website is used and to measure our advertising (only with your consent).

We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Legal basis

We process your information with your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you, to perform that agreement, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.

Sharing your information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email delivery provider and analytics and advertising platforms, and only as needed to provide their service. Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa; where this happens we rely on providers bound by adequate data protection laws or agreements, as POPIA requires.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and advertising cookies load only if you click “Accept” on the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, after which the notice will appear again.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and customer information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw consent. To do so, email info@thekhanyacollective.co.za.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
